CORPORATE SOCIAL RESPONSIBILITY

Over the last decade, the Corporate Social Responsibility has evolved from a declaration of intentions and an inclusion in our HSEQ policy into a fully normalized and grown up part of our core-procedures and company culture.

We consider that future generations should be able to live in good health, receive quality education, be treated fairly and enjoy our fascinating planet as much as we do now. We are continuously developing cleaner and more sustainable logistics solutions in order to mitigate harmful emissions and irrational use of carbonized energy sources.

We are of course a small piece of this global movement but we truly believe that by contributing structurally, and doing this together, we can make a change.

CSR is all about finding the balance between profit, environmental impact and wellbeing of people.

SUSTAINABILITY RATINGS

Our customers need reliable information from their providers regarding Sustainability performance. We collaborate with leading company Ecovadis in order to rate our performance as a LSP (Logistics Services Provider).

This enables us to provide our customers with the world’s most-trusted sustainability and CSR ratings.

RESPONSIBLE CARE

As ECTA (European Chemical Transport Association) Responsible Care members, we implement their principles into our company strategy, management systems and daily operations. We commit to:

 

  • Continuously improve the environmental, health and safety performance of our transport operations of goods as to avoid harm to people and the environment.
  • Ensure that proper care is taken to protect the safety and health of all people involved in our transport operations.
  • Minimize the environmental impact of our transport activities.
  • Use resources and fuel efficiently and minimize waste.
  • Collect data and report openly on our performance, achievements and shortcomings.

HUMAN PERSPECTIVE

Our employees are our most valuable asset. Therefore, we try to take care of their wellbeing and health while they are doing their job. RB is a flat organization structure enabling easy contact between all different layers inside the organization. This structure enables smooth communication between operators and their managers so issues can be discussed and solved fast. The knowledge of operators is very valuable and must always be taken in account.

Our Sustainability philosophy is founded upon the Sustainable Development Goals established by the United Nations. These goals represent a perfect guideline to follow and to improve, gradually, conditions of our people, the environment and humanity in a whole.
